A note from the owners:

We bought this house off the market being attracted at first by its location, unique design and plan and when we enquired further, found out about all the eco features. The home is built to make the most of the sun, has a rain saver system, wool insulation, usage of non toxic paints, solar hot water and double glazing. Even though it is not our area of expertise, we decided that these eco features can be handled and it is great to know that the home somewhat helps to reduce the footprint we will be leaving on this planet. We moved in on the shortest day and compared to our previous home, the difference was noticable right away – much warmer with no condensation on the windows in the morning! We did not make it through those long winter evenings without any heating, but the house heated up well during the day and stayed warmer long after the heat was turned off. We quickly learned to monitor the water tank level and switching to mains is easy. The house became our home in no time – the layout is great for us, the colour schemes and interior decorations are beautiful and needed no changing. The gardens are wonderfully laid out, plants incluced fruit trees, veggie patches, decorative plants and flowers. After a few weeks in the house, we personally met Jamie and Natalia of Hybrid Homes & Living. They both are very approachable and delightful to deal with and have a genuine interest to deliver high quality products and their customer care is terrific. Not only have they given us a good overview of the unique features of our home, they also took care of a few touch ups we wanted to address but asked for advice first. We are truly happy with this sustainable home and can see us living there for many years to come.
