Have you wondered what a 2 bedroom EKOKIT home looks like? We are excited to have signed up to build a show home in the Home Innovation Village (HIVE) on Curletts Road in Christchurch. We have selected our ToiToi design, and are now working with the engineers to develop a floating concrete floor, in order to be able to show the passive solar design and eco innovations in our home, while working with the restriction of having the house built on piles.

Here is the design, and a sketch of the end product.

We’ll have regular updates here, as the project develops.

People walking through Christchurch Home Ideas centre can now see what Hybrid Homes can offer. We’ve created a display that helps you decide what features of a home are important to you, and shows examples of both our Hybrid Home and Modular Home range. Our key message is that if you are considering building, then building a new home with eco features makes sense – and won’t cost you the earth.

As part of our introduction into the Christchurch market, we have designed a decision tree that aims to help customers decide whether our Modular building solution, or our Hybrid Home solution is for them.

We’d love your feedback on whether it helps you too.

Just answer the questions for your situation. If you end up with more “Standard” then our Modular Homes could suit you best. If you end up with more “Designed for you” then read about our Hybrid Homes.

We are very pleased to announce that Milla Rose Harrington was born at 2.12pm on 15th June. Jamie and Natalia are over the moon; “I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier” was the proud mother’s comment.
